Generally understood by speakers of Spanish. Can create with language and string sentences together though not in a well organized paragraph.

Generally understood by teacher and classmates.  Creates with language and strings some sentences together . May have several long pauses while words are considered or thoughts are organized. 

Partially understood by teachers and classmates.  Tends to use learned phrases.  Limited creative use of language is marked by pauses and inappropriate grammar.

Not easily understood by teachers and classmates.

Word or phrase length utterances with a number of grammatical errors that impede understanding.
